this suggestion was originally made by YNWA during the beta phase of this game, but I really liked it especially after getting into this game more, so I decided to make a reminder about it and allow more people to see and discuss it after the game is released.

In Fives and threes, an optional manual scoring variant could be introduced.
In this variant, the computer doesn't automatically score your points after you play a domino, but you have to do it yourself.
I'm not entirely sure if we should have any kind of mugging (like in Cribbage), or if simply not scoring anything if you make a mistake is enough. I'm leaning towards the latter option since in Cribbage this is a central part of the game, but perhaps we could go even further and make that an option too.

I believe that this would introduce another interesting element to the game, especially for staying concentrated while playing it.
