I express myself. This Christmas, may the light of hope illuminate your days with the magic of generosity and the warmth of compassion. May each moment be an opportunity to renew the spirit, cultivate gratitude, and share love. Amidst the festivities, remember that every challenge is a chance for growth and that family unity is a precious treasure. May joy infect your heart, peace guide your steps, and faith strengthen your journey. May the holiday season be filled with meaningful moments, and may the light that Christmas brings shine on your path throughout the upcoming year. Merry Christmas!

I express myself. I'm eating a ham sandwich, accompanied by a very cold glass of Coca-Cola, this is really good!

I express myself:
I wanna be on summer vacation because I'm bored.
But when i'll be on summer vacation i will'nt do anything useful and gonna gt bored again.
But I'm tired of school and that boreds me, but on summer vacation I'll get bored too! But I think is better to get bored for doing nothing then for school, so YEAH, conclusion: i wanna to be on vacation. And sorry forthis, I'm bored.

I think now this topic has no point. It is very tiring to read messages hear about just I am bored or I am eating ham sandwitch hear. It can be used to express a good experience and share with others or a nice fealing. writing I am bored or I am eating hand sandwith makes no sence I think its good to share the whole experience it will be fun to read and there will be context in the post. its my sujestion and its open to any ideas if you disagree.

Hello,
please don't create pointless polls.
"How are you doing today?" is not something that requires the vote of the community, and a poll has no reason to last indefinitely. Voting on this poll will just constantly bring this topic up to the top even if nobody said anything, especially with a close date of 3015.
This feature is useful, because in real polls that require community opinions, a topic would go down quickly and no longer be visible, so bringing it back to the top each time a new vote is received is essential.
I admit it is a creative way to make use of the poll feature, but it's not a good idea for the entire forum. Discussing this in an inbox with your friends is probably a much better idea.
If you want to chat with us here in the English community, find out how people are feeling and what is going on, feel free to join one of our free tables. Chat tables are pretty much regular, and we'd be happy to hang out with you.
However, on the forum, there is usually a specific topic of conversation, and the discussions are better organized. Forum messages and chat messages have a very different purpose, and this is probably why you aren't seeing that much activity on these topics in English, and why it outright failed in French.
The topic won't be entirely removed for now, it is just as Glad said, if you have an interesting thing to say, do it, but try to avoid writing messages that are a much better fit for a free table or a realtime chat with someone.
Thank you for your understanding.

The thing is that in Spanish express yourself, people do comment, talk more often, discuss short-term topics, and give advice on everyday things. But I don't think that's possible in English, since here the forum is used more to report problems or more serious things than to talk about everyday life. Or who knows? Maybe one day the express yourself I mentioned before will be achieved, but I don't see it as likely.

@Maeve Of course, you can discuss anything on the English forum too, as long as it conforms with the Playroom rules. For example, we've had a topic about sharing your favorite food, your favorite songs, your experience living as a blind person and general questions, and so on.
Of course it doesn't have to be at all only about bugs and suggestions, this is what the tea room is used for, to discuss things unrelated to the Playroom.
My point was only that it is much better to organize discussions in different topics. Maybe, today, I am interested to find out what are your experiences with airtravel as a blind person. Wouldn't it be better if it was in its own topic, so that anybody with the same interest can quickly open it, know what it is about and also be able to find it later? It is certainly better than having a topic with 30000 messages which talks about everything (and no, that's not an exaggeration, the Spanish express yourself topic in fact has a lot more than that), and you can no longer find anything that was discussed in the past due to how large it is and the subject field tells you nothing about the topic of the current discussion.
That's in fact the whole point of the subject field. It can quickly tell you, OK, I am interested in this topic, it has Jaws in its name, maybe I can help someone with a problem since I use it, or in the opposite case, I don't ever travel by plane, this is totally uninteresting to me, I'll just skip it.
Merging every discussion into a topic with a generic name completely defeats that purpose, and I personally don't know of any forum that works this way. Of course, I completely understand that this works for the Spanish community, I'm not really a part of it and can't tell you why it is good or bad this way, I just browse the forum from time to time.
To summarize, feel free to discuss anything off topic in the tea room, that's why it exists, just try to keep it more organized and focused.

It's not the same.
Well, I don't know how to explain it, but you could say that Express Yourself is like a mini tea room... yes, it's annoying not to have the topics organized and blah blah blah, but that's not what it's about. I would take it as a kind of free table but in the forum, to talk and meet people (And yes, I know there is already a topic of getting to know each other and introducing yourself) the difference is that in this one you don't have to respond immediately or anything like that.
Or at least that's how it's used in Spanish. And in English, I don't mean that they only talk about mistakes and so on, what I wanted to say is that in the forum they speak in a more formal way; I don't know if I can explain myself.
Well in summary and conclusion, express yourself will not work in English, in my opinion.
