The 32 players in this tournament were put into 2 pots of 16. one pot containing seeds and the other pot containing non seeded players. Each match will contain 1 player from a seeded pot and a player from a non seeded pot, making a total of 16 randomly drawn matches. The seeds were chosen according to the players passed performance in the tournaments; if I don’t know who you are, you were put in the non seeded pot

I would assume that the 32 limit is to make it so that there is a final round with only 2 players in it. If you divide 32 in half you get 16, and there will be 16 winners of the 32 matches played on saturday. There will be 8 winners of those 16 players, 4 winners among those 8, 2 winners among those 4 and these last 2 will compete for the top spot.
