1. Isaac5457,
Hello, I would like to suggest a new game/battleship variant, Fruit Battle.
The object of the game is to hit (capture) opponent fruit squares in order to make a fruit smoothie. The game is played on a 12x12 grid, with fruit comprising 28 squares. Similar to battleship, players must place their fruits on the board randomly or manually. Further, players must also place ice cubes on the board, which will be described later.
Once placement has been completed, a player is randomly selected to go first. Play will then continue clockwise. Once a player has selected a square, players can pick from the following utensils to act on the square:
Fork: Target 1 individual square.
Spoon: Targets 1 square. When used, a player is informed if there are any fruit on the four adjacent squares (north, east, west, south). Players are given 3 spoons per game.
Knife: Targets 3-5 squares at random from the launch square (vertical, horizontal, or diagonal). Players are given 3 knives per game.
Blender: Targets squares in a 3x3 radius from the launch square. Players are given 3 blenders per game.
The game ends when a player successfully captures all of their opponent's fruits after which scores will be tallied.
The Ice Cube: If a player lands on an ice cube, that player shall skip 1 turn. If a player hits multiple ice cubes on a single turn, that player shall skip the number of turns corresponding to the number of ice cubes hit (1 turn per ice cube). Players are given 5 ice cubes per game.
Scoring: A player scores points as follows: Each fruit square hit gives 20 points.
Each ice cube hit gives 10 points to the opponent.
Each spoon used subjects the adjacent squares to a 10% penalty on hits if such squares contain fruit. In this case, a fruit square is worth 18 points instead of 20.
If a player uses a knife, a 40% penalty shall be applied on any subsequent hits.
If a blender is used, a 60% penalty shall be applied to any subsequent hits. A 4 point penalty shall apply to each player for every turn of play (excluding skipped turns). The player with the greatest number of points wins.
Statistics for this game should include wins, losses and average points/game.
Thank you for your consideration.
