1. agasoft,

Hi there,
I like that new game, 99.
However
, only one rule is not clear enough for me.
In game rules, you stated:
•If the current total is even and greater than 49, a 2 divides it by two. In all other cases, a 2 doubles it.
But, just a few paragraphs later, you said:
•As a 2 is able to double pile total, 66 and 99 may be gone past at once; for example if you play a 2 while the total is at 53. In that case, you lose the round and 3 tokens.

How is this possible, if card 2 need to divide every number greater then 49?
I aosl lost, with played card 2 at total 56, or higher numbers.
How I can know, when 2 will divide, and when will double, if 49 is not only one criteria?

2. Aminiel,

A 2 will divide only if the total is both greater than 49 and even.

As 53 is odd, a 2 would make it to double anyway, even if it is greater than 49. 53 * 2 = 106, so you go past both 66 and 99 at once.
