It would be nice if there would be some do not disturb mode that notifies your friends that it's on. It is not the same if you disable chats because for your friends it might seem like you are ignoring them. I hope you consider it. Thanks.

yes, I think that would be a good idea. like if you are really focused on a game or something, or you are away from your computer, there should be a do not disturb feature.
