Wasn't I supposed to get an extra chance because I made a double while being in jail?

I'm not exactly sure what is the question (what extra chance are you referring to), but as soon as you get a double, you are out of jail. You have three turns to achieve that, if you don't, you must pay.

Quoting the rules:

- If you make a double, you get out of jail immediately and for free and advance the number of squares indicated by the dice

• If you don't make a double, you stay in jail and miss your turn.
• You can pay to get out of jail at any time. In this case, it doesn't matter if you make a double or not, you go back to your normal route.
• You can also get out of jail immediately and for free by using a get out of jail card, if you were lucky enough to draw or get one.
• You cannot stay in jail for more than three turns. If on the third roll you don't get a double, then you must pay and then resume your normal route.

@Nikola, Basically, I was in jail and made a double to get out. As per the standard rules of Monopoly, I should also get an extra roll because I made a double, right?

You rolled a double and landed on Free Parking and that is the end of your move. You can only roll a second time if you are not in prison unless you are bankrupt.

You can normally play again when you make a double. However, indeed, you don't when you go out of jail.

You can view it like this: when you make a double, you get an extra chance, but you burn that extra chance by going out of jail without paying. I don't know what is actually said in the official rules, but it has always been so on the playroom, and personally, I have always played like that IRL. Landing on free parking or on any other square bought or not don't change anything.
