1. Nikola,

Hello all,
after a successful January Uno tournament, here we are with the second tournament of the world cup.
This time, the chosen game is Duck racing, on the new board which was just released last month.

The tournament will start on February 25th, at 6 PM central European time. If you are not sure what time this is in your country, either ask me, or visit this link. This will also be the standard time for all other tournaments of the world cup, unless it is necessary to change the time.

As already said above, we will play on the "Ducks at the casino" board. All challenges will be enabled, except the first two, "Rock paper scissors" and "Die roll".

Important note: currently, many challenges are unplayable from touch screen devices without using an external keyboard. If you are playing from a phone, keep this in mind and sign up only if you have a keyboard to play with, otherwise there is a chance the game will get stuck.
If such a situation arises, the player who is stuck and can't play a duel will lose the game.

The format will be adjusted accordingly depending on the number of players, but what is certain is that on the first day, we will play games with two players, in a group stage format. On the second day, in the elimination phase, games will be played with more than two players, most likely four per one table.
The group stage will be played in 3 laps, while the knockout stage will be played in 4.
Finally, in the last game of the tournament, we'll run a 5 laps race.
Once again a reminder, to register, write a message in this topic and mention the country you are coming from, either here or privately to me.

The registrations will definitely close on Thursday, February 23rd. The draw and final participants will also be announced on that day. As a reminder, we will try to accept registrations in such a way as to not have a huge amount of players from one country compared to all the others, so make sure to register quickly. Players who register first from a given country always have the priority, in case that country receives a large number of registered players.

As always, thank you for your support and for signing up.

Good luck!

Note: in the main world cup topic, we are already running another poll for about two weeks. This one asks of you whether the current standard time for all tournaments is suitable, or you would like it changed. Please vote and share your opinions. If a change is necessary, it will be done starting with the March tournament.

23. Nikola,

Hello everybody,
thank you for your registrations.

Just like for last month's Uno tournament, we will stick to each country having two players at most to represent it. Two countries had three players who signed up, unfortunately the third player in order of registrations won't be included, but regardless of that I still advise you to be there, as there is a chance you may get to represent your country in case of absent people.

For the format, the tournament has 16 players in total. These players have been divided into 4 groups with 4 players each. On Saturday, we will play 1 on 1 games, where you will play against everybody from your group.
As a reminder, we are playing on the Ducks at the casino board, and 3 laps for the group stage. The first two duels in the list are disabled (rock paper scissors and dice duel), while everything else will stay enabled throughout the tournament. The quiz questions time limit will also stay 15 seconds.
The two best players from each group will advance to the knockout round on sunday.
In the knockout round, we'll have 2 tables with 4 players each, and a 4 laps race. From those games, the 2 best players of each table will advance to the final 4 players game, with 5 laps.

Note: even though you can advance to the final by reaching a second place in the knockout race as well, only the first place wins points for their country in the global ranking.

Don't forget the tournament time, which is 6 PM CET.

Finally,, here are the groups, with the first player in each responsible for their table:
