1. The-white-dove,

Hello!

Here is just a bit of the history of a game I just played.

It's korent's turn.
korent plays a 3 of diamonds.
It's your turn.
Miralina plays a king of diamonds.
It's Dr. jeckil's turn.
the king of diamonds is worth -80 points.
Points are counted negative.
Dr. jeckil has chosen the contract Bonus salad.
The rule "everything or nothing" is on.
Round #12.
Dr. jeckil plays a 7 of diamonds.
Miralina gets the trick.
End of round.

korent gets 0 points.
Miralina gets 80 points.
Dr. jeckil gets 0 points.

korent: -50.
Miralina: 0.
Dr. jeckil: 160.

Is that a bug? Or there is something I don't understand?

I just remembered that we will have a Barbu tournament soon. Hope nothing like that will happen to any of the players that will take part in it. :)

Thanks
Miralina

2. Nikola,

Hello,
as far as I understand, there is no bug here, just the word negative being used is misleading. I am not sure what the better term is, perhaps reversed points?
Essentially, when it says points are counted negative, this means opposite of whatever the rule is. In your example, the king was minus 80, so the negative counting means that it now becomes plus 80, not that it is in all cases a minus.

3. Fawaz,

Yes, I learned this in a hardway but good i managed to grasp it before the tournament haha.
so something like each trick minus 5 points, each ten -15 and ten of cllubs 60 points, points are counted negative:
this actually in the result will be like each trick +5, each ten +15, and ten of cllubs -45.
negative totally misleading but yes yoou have to pay attention,
good luck.

4. Epic_Krrish,

I also didn't know that the maths rules apply here till i was told also. So the negative and negative becomes positive. But as Fawaz as said need to be careful.
