1. bryant,

Hello.
I am on the playroom, and this user named hotgirl keeps sending about 2 messages every half second in the main menu. They are all porn messages, and they are not nice messages. Can you please ban her? I think she is a spambot.

2. clevelandbrown,

I second this. it's beyond annoying and infuriating. she won't stop. no matter who or what she is, this behavior is unacceptable. she not only keeps sending these pourn messages, but they are the same pourn messages. Like I said, it's really aggrivating.

3. PacerFan92,

I also agree with the previous posts. Because of these messages, its very hard to navigate around through the playroom without the messages getting in the way. Aside from the simple fact that they are annoying and completely unnecessary.

4. Aminiel,

Hotgirl has been banned for ever. Thank you for the report.

Don't hesitate to tell us again when you notice something like that. You can post on the forum, or use the alert an operator function using the F2 key. If an operator is connected at the time you do it, you will get a much faster response.

5. alfredo ,

I will tell you what. In my ipinion, we shoudl refer to the spammer as it, since we have no idea as to its identity. Who knows but what the person used autoit or a similar looping program, that randomized the same thing over and over. However, I noticed that the account was still online. I had an idea to guess what the password was for "HotGirl" but it is as if one were looking for a needle in a haystack. My plan was to log in as HOtGirl and disconnect the bot. Who knows but the person would have had the nerve to come back if they found out their messages were not being sent and their program lept messing up. anyhows, I am glad that is over.

9. alfredo ,

So far the messages are coming in a little slowly. NO doubt but that the person may be the same, but with a different account. and diffeent wording.

10. Aminiel,

Tank you once again for signaling, even if it is much too late. There's no doubt, that's the same person behind both accounts.

Go fuck yourself for ever, CutieGirl, and don't think that you can insult me for nothing.

Hello, I think there must be some way to prevent this in the future. Both attacks happened on a Saturday, at around the same time, both within a week of each other.

12. kevinja,

Hello,

I agree with alfredo. I think there needs to be something implemented to prevent future attacks. Also as a friendly suggestion, spam protection should be implemented for the forums as I heard they don't even have captcha challenges. This could be a potential problem, as it could allow future attacks, maybe even from this same spammer. Who knows?

Take care all!

There is only one problem. Persons can solve captchas and still spam. That is why more measures need to be taken care of. For example, if a message is being sent to the plaryoom's server for say, 5 seconds, ad the messages were at a rate of 3 messages a second, then there should be a timeout where the spammer would be disconnected. I have come to believe that a person would have to program in such a language, and have that program loop infinitely to send those kinds of spam.

14. Aminiel,

There is already an anti-flood feature, but the spammer has understood and is sending messages just a little slower than needed to kick him. I can't do more on that area, sorry.

I have an idea... What about if somebody sends three messages, automatically he or she cannot sends more messages anymore? So, the spamer could spam oneself receiving a message like "You can't send three messages at once".

16. afrim,

Hello,
Is there any chance to ban the person by IP?
It would be a great idea although they may use VPN to enter in the playroom.

Another problem that occurred some days ago in the mainroom, was when a person sent continuously messages containing crashing words for Eloquence. As it’s highly known, eloquence is the best text-to-speech and it’s largely used among blind people, so apart from free tables and game tables, we couldn’t stay in the mainroom, because our screen reader would be crashed when using eloquence. It could even crash it on NVDA, which was not a common problem when they used to use a combination of letters which worked only on Jaws.

Thank you very much for adding the option to send the history report.

These kind of programs changes the user's ip randomly. However, I do not understand how many users can unban so fast... I think that only they change their mac address.

You can use dictionaries putting carefully these words to avoid that Eloquence crashes, copying them character by character. This is an error from the itself Eloquence, not from FreedomScientific JAWs. I think that the newer versions of JAWs are inmune and safe of these commands.

But since we are speaking of these dangerous commands for us, I want to share other more: If a person tries to enter a command which contains the backquote symbol (‵) In the client, this sends back a ' symbol. This is right, but the problem is when somebody enters from the web.

In JAWS, some of these commands can be funny for example, JAWS can sing with this symbol, but there is a command that does JAWS to misspell what it reads, and for restore JAWS we need to press insert space s twice for restoring Eloquence synthesis.
