I've been thinking it would be pretty interesting if there was some kind of method to post to those who are online in your friends list, all at once. What are your thoughts?

You can list everyone online when creating a permanent post.
and everyone will receive it.
and even be able to answer.
And another plus of this method. even those who have not been online for a certain time will receive it.
in order to do this, click on any of your friends, select "write a permanent message", set the list of recipients, set the subject, and message.
then click submit.

Right, but I more meant how private messages work but for friends as a group. Sort of how some games have something called friends chat or friends post. Online friends would see it and be able to respond.

Uh, but that is how a permanent message works dude.

No it isn't. Most importantly, you can message 5 people at most.
