1. Cristina ,

Hello!
please, could you change the sound of invitation for playing and getting or sending a private message if it is possible?
It is the same sound and personally, I often got confused, especially when was involved in a game and could not check what I got.
Thank you in advance!!!
regards, Cristina

2. basket,

you can customize your sounds in the sounds folder in the game room.

3. dementress ,

Exactly. And if you need any sound, let me know, and I'll give you if possible.

Agreed with Cristina.

5. YNWA,

Yes it would be a good thing, remember some players have hearing difficulties! while we are on the subject I sometimes have issues with hearing the cards being played if I am on skype or there is a lot of noise in the background so it would be good if that was louder. Also the Duck quacking and the glass breaking are far too loud!

6. Cristina ,

I did not mean that the sound is too loud.
I would like if for invitation for playing would be a sound and for getting or sending private messages would be another. As I said above, it is the same sound and for me it is quite confusing. When I am playing, i can not know if I got a private message or a invitation for playing hearing that sound.
If it would be two different sounds, we could know what we got.

7. basket,

as I said, you can customize them.

Oh oh, but thinking it more... We actually can't, basket. Not if the sound is the same in both cases. I mean, if you try to change the sound when someone is sending pm, also will change the sound when someone invites you. Why? Because both are the same sound, unfortunatelly.

9. YNWA,

Yes it is very effective in the long term as new versions of the playroom are created and not everybody wants to fiddle around with things like that. Aminiel said things can change easily and that's why we are requesting that the sounds are changed.

10. Cristina ,

Yes, you're right naday.
The rest sounds are ok for me and maybe aminiel will choose a different sound for making the distinguish between the two.

If I remember well, it was the same situation for some cards in 1000 myles game and they were changed.

Hi,
I don't think she's able to custamise them on her own because it is not a simple procedure for someone who's not good at technology.

13. Cristina ,

Oh, but what I requested, only Aminiel can make it.
If we could, I would have asked someone to help me for changing it.
As naday said, the sound for the invitation for playing and getting or sending private messages would be the same again after the changing if we would make it.

14. Exink,

I can make a midi sound if you want for the private messages or invitation, I mean, for making a difference.

Score: +0

15. dementress ,

No, Saniel, in this case is not possible because both are related to the same sound. I mean, the same sound is used for both cases, so, if you change the sound that is used for them, the sound will change in them, not just in one. I thought she could just change the sound, but, in this case, is not possible.

Perhaps another variation in tones. For example, the sound for private mesages is the same for the report sound, the diference is in the tone it's play. Another example is the sound wich alers that a player says uno, and the alarm in the cribbage. If you pay atention, probably you will find more examples.

17. Exink,

No no, I mean to suggest another sound, maybe they can use it in the nest release of the client to change them.

18. Cristina ,

Smile, I would prefer two different sounds for what I requested if it would be possible, because the variation of the tone doesn't help me at all for making the distinguish, as long as I have issues with my hearing too.

19. LaraStardust,

indeed, the pm and invitation sounds are from the same file.
Personally, I just, you know, look at my history? but meh.
plus, if you want x sound loud and y sound quieter, that can be done easily

Now I understand your point, saniel, and actually is a cool idea... I guess? :)

I have created a tiny but nice and the most important, different sound file using midi like it was a ringtone. I can upload it right there if you are interested.

24. Aminiel,

Hello,

Sorting out sounds and avoiding multiple uses of the same sound for different events is a recurrent request for a long time. I may try to do something for version 2.3. Since then, you have to do with it as there is no solution.

Score: +0

25. Cristina ,

Indeed, it's not easy to find a specific sound for every event or aplication. But for what I requested, maybe you could find two different sounds for making the distinguish.
Many thanks for bein taken in your attention my request.
I am looking forward already for the next version of playroom...
regards, Cristina

26. aravis,

dardar is correct. if you really want to find out what event caused the sound to be played, then immedialtely go to the end of the history with ctrl+page down and listen to the last message ever spoken. if it's not you'd like to hear, neither an invitation nor a private message, then press page up to go backwards in the history untill you find out what it is you've got. and if you acti quickly, your private message or invitation can't go far up in the history. and to change the sound in the playroom doean't require you to be a specialist in technology. just find a sound you want to hear and give it exactly the same name as of the file you want to replace and paste your sound right into the sounds folder of the playroom. as the names coincide, the old file gets overwritten.

Score: +0

27. Exink,

No, the last suggestion does not work, at least for me; I had to change my loss sound using the temporary pholder of the playroom which is in %appdata%, because when I tried to change the sound using the standard directory, the sound file was the same, and this is because you need to do so.

28. Cristina ,

it seems that some persons did not understand my request even if I specified exactly the reason of this
.
Ok, I can repeat, but it would be useless and maybe annoying for some people.
I know how to check what I got: a invitation or a private message.
Not this is my issue, nor request.
I simply would like if there will be two different sounds for those events mentioned above. And just for making clear the distinguish between those two. Because as I said, for me it is confusing and can not check while I am involved in a game.
Moreover, it takes some time for checking that.
In fact, i don't think that many of us would be interested of any invitation while we would be involved in a game already. But maybe of a private message we would be, then it's better if we know exactly what we got. smile
fortunately Aminiel got my point and this is more than enough for me, because my request was for him.
Thanks, Cristina

Sorry, but i don't understand the necesity of a completely diferent sound: As i sayd in another message of the same post, there are many examples of sounds wich are the same one, but they differ in the tound it is played. However, we can distinguish them can't we?

Score: +0

30. Cristina ,

Ok, I thought of it and there's something what makes a little difference between those two.
When we get a invitation, it tells us who invited.
Then, maybe I should focus better even if I still consider it confusing or ratherr baffling
