Oh no, I changed my nickname but I made a misstake ! As you understand, that's not a good idea I think.
In fact you can change your nickname as often as you want during the 2 weeks following your subscription. After that I consider that you are definitely fixed.

If people can't change their nick names, they'll maybe just make new users - they just need a different IP and E-mail adress. Think you should add the function again.
