1. la_Dani_Dolanescu,

Hi all! There are many players from former Yugoslavian countries, and many of them shouldn't enjoy the playroom, because they don't speak english.
Is there a possibility to have the playroom translated to Serbian language?

Hello!
I know that there are two versions of Serbian language, latin and cyrillic. Which version do you mean to add? Hvala.

i think it would be better to translate playroom in latin version , because then not only serbians can play but some other people too like croatians or people who understand serbian but not cirillic.

am better for cirilic but dont know if others want latin it's ok also

I support this suggestion also. This would be better for slavic people to use playroom in their native languages, and as i see a lot of times, there are many serbians here. So, i support this.

6. kristijan,

I also support translating playroom to serbian, I can help there as well.
I prefer latin as primary script, because all tts engines can read latin, while with cyrillic it would be problematic for some engines, especially eloquence which doesn't recognize cyrillic at all.

well I think there's a solution but... this should be done via the web version of the playroom. simply, you can launch the web version and translate the page with google translator to whatever language you want. yes, this is not the ideal solution but that's for now

The point is not having the translation maybe, the point is having their language server so they can be with... their people, for saying something.

Exactly , we already have jdf files , yes they are only for jaws but they help those who can't speak English a lot. But we need our own server or to always create private tables, which if you are a new user means, play with 1 or 2 friends and that's it.

22. afrim,

Hi,
Well, I support the idea of translating Playroom to serbian, but of course using the Latin alphabet because most of the synthesisers that we use daily do not support Cirilik. ESpeak, the default synthesiser of NVDA supports it, but that's wayy too much robotic for many people.
And by the way, since I'm seeing many people from Serbia here, is there any TTS that you recommend to me that can read cirilic because I study montenegren language, which is very similar to Serbian or croatian and it uses cirilic alphabet, too. I am from Albania, living near Montenegro's borders. So it would help me a lot because they have added that language to my university.
Cheers!

hello , there are many tts engines that we use to read cyrillic , personally for me espeak all the way. But i can understand perfectly fine that some people can't get used to it , but i can. There are many not so bad engines , win talker voice is a sapi 4 and sapi 5 engine , it reads cyrillic when it is in sapi4 mode , also anreader which is sapi5 and has 2 voices , marica for croatian and znezana for serbian , and they both read cyrillic. The only problem is , they are all commercial and unless you are a serbian(which you aren't) , it isn't worth buying them. Another option is to get some free russian synths if you are using NVDA , like newfon or i think the other one was called captain. If you need any other explanations , feel free to contact me on the playroom so that we don't go offtopic too much here.

30. YNWA,

they said that you have to find a team yourself with helpers or at least 1. Do you have that yet. If you have then contact Aminiel. I would suggest that people try to find out how many people would be willing to use that part of the playroom as you don't want to be a white elephant like The Albanian and German parts are!
